Q: How do I use my child’s NDIS funding for behavioural support?

A: If your child has NDIS funding under Improve Daily Living or Capacity Building, we can provide behavioural and early intervention supports in line with the NDIS price guide. We’ll guide you though the process and help match supports to your child’s goals.

Q: What is included in NDIS early intervention services?

A: NDIS early intervention services include developmental assessments, goal setting, behaviour support, daily living skills, and therapy strategies delivered at home, preschool, school, or in the community.

Q: Can I access Beyond the Clouds if I don’t have NDIS funding?

A: Yes, we also offer private sessions for families who don’t have NDIS plans but still want support for their child’s development and behaviour.

Early Intervention & behaviour Support

Q: What is the best age to start early intervention?

A: Early intervention is most effective when started as early as possible. We work with children as young as 2.5 years to help build communication, social, and daily living skills before challenges become harder to manage.

Q: How does behavioural support help children with autism and ADHD?

A: Behavioural support provides strategies to manage challenging behaviours, improve emotional regulation, and teach new skills. We use evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed practice, tailored to each child.

Q: Do you provide toilet training and daily living skills?

A: Yes, we specialise in helping children develop the skills to gain independence in toileting, self-care, and other daily routines through structured, supportive strategies.

Service & Delivery

Q: Where are services delivered?

A: We are a mobile service. We deliver supports at home, preschool, schools and in the community, depending on what works best for your family.

Q: How do I know what goals my child should be working on?

A: During our intake session, we complete a developmental assessment and work with you to set short term, mid term and long term goals, that are tailored to your child’s needs.

Q: How much does services cost?

A: Our rates range from $68-$232 per hour, depending on the service type, and are always inline with the NDIS Price Guide.

Intake sessions

Q: What is an intake session with Beyond The Clouds?

A: An intake session is the first step in starting supports with us. It includes a parents meeting, a developmental assessment with you child, and a discussion about goals and strategies. This will help us create a personalised support plan that aligns with your child’s NDIS goals.

Q: How long does the intake sessions take?

A: The initial intake sessions usually takes around 1.5-2 hrs. Which includes meetings with parents and observation of the child at home. If your child goes to school or preschool, we will run another assessment in that setting, which will support the information needed in the function and development assessment from all settings.

Q: Do I need to prepare anything for the intake session?

A: You don’t have to prepare much, but if you have reports from other professionals such as speech therapy, OT, or psychology, it’s helpful to have them handy. If you don’t have them that’s ok we will conduct our own assessments when needed.

Q: Is the intake session covered by NDIS funding?

A: Yes, the intake sessions usually is billed in line with the NDIS price guide and can be claimed from your child’s plan under relevant categories such as capacity building or core supports.

Q: What happens after the intake session?

A: We will provide a detailed plan and assessment outlining your child’s goals and strategies that will be implemented. We will schedule regular sessions that fit in with your families needs
